SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls Skyforce were defeated 107-96 by the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Saturday evening at the Sanford Pentagon. The contest marked the finale of a six-game homestand for the Skyforce (1-7).
Micah Potter posted a career-tying 20 points on 8-16 FGA and career-high 21 rebounds in the contest. It marks his second double-double of the season. Brandon Knight (26 points on 9-16 FG, seven rebounds and five assists) has posted back-to-back contests with 26-plus points. Potter and Knight helped Sioux Falls secure two players with 20-plus points for the first time in back-to-back games.
Bennie Boatwright (25 points) and Terry Taylor (24 points on 10-12 FGA and 12 rebounds) led the way for Fort Wayne (5-3).
The Skyforce trailed at halftime 67-53 but were able to outscore the Mad Ants 29-17 in the third quarter.
After being down by 18 points in the game, Sioux Falls was able to earn a three-point lead with 7:45 left in the final period. Fort Wayne answered with an 11-2 run to end the contest and secure the series sweep.
Indiana Pacers two-way player DeJon Jarreau posted 11 points, five rebounds and four assists.
The Skyforce embark on a four-game road swing before the NBA G League Winter Showcase (December 19-22), with the first coming in a tilt with the Motor City Cruise. Tip-off is slated for 10:00 AM CST. Fort Wayne hosts the Iowa Wolves on Friday, December 10.
